There were (2) 318s, the Poly and LA engine.
The LA 318 uses a longer reach plug than the Poly 318, the Poly 318 uses a shorter plug.

Just my $0.02....

To clarify the XR4 is for the 66 poly 318. The LA 318 came out in 67. That would be a different plug.

My engine is the Poly 318 so the XR4 will be going in it.
