No commercials

I've been seeing a lot of 'a cute blonde' in Nisan Titans/Frontiers,
a few Toyota Tundra/Tecomas ads

a few decent Ram truck adverts, a cool TRX ads
a few Jeep & Gladiator 'offroad capable' stuff,
big $$$ Grand Wagoneers or a few Grand Cherokee too
a Few Dodge 'muscle stuff' still, Charger & Challengers
'Ricky Bobby' stuff is gone now

a few Bronco, 4dr sport, very lil' 2 dr
or Ford Trucks/F-150 especially
a few Mustang ads, here & there

Quite a few Genisis, Hyundai & Kia, Korean stuff

not much of the EV "****"

Chevrolet (GM) is noticeably absent
seems they are busy building GM in China
nothing really from the
new EV Hummers
I do see a few Buick ads,
& a few select 'way overpriced' Cadillac EV 'crap'
or Escalades '****'
strange, there's very lil' C8 Vette ads

not much of the govt. hybrid "crap"

Lexus & Infinity I haven't seen much if at all
same for Tesla

most I see when watching golf

About that hands-free Silverado commercial, if you want to ride hands-free, you should have to take the bus. Just saying.

I am not who the car manufacturers are apparently after based on ALL of the car ads I see... I am the wrong color and I am not in a mixed race marriage.

I recently drove through the local area where several dealerships are located. I noticed there were very few new cars, and almost NO new trucks on the lots.... I guess the Chinese chip shortage has come to us.
Down here in Florida Daytona area the auto mall has many dealers and the lots are full of new cars.

Chargers have only 2 doors, dude.
bro, don't call me dude. My 2011 Dodge Charger RT is a four door, the challenger is a two door, i fixed it for you. Stay stuck in the past. Go ahead, and get an LX platform dodge, modify it to a two door, and put a 440 in it, then it will be a "charger". If the new engines are ****, then why are they being put in a,b,c, and e bodies? I love classic mopars, and i love the new ones too. At least we live in a country where your opinion is not law, not yet anyway..

BTW, they're full of crap about the "chip shortage"...they seems to be a lot of EV garbage out there. They're full of microprocessors and chips. Doesn't seem to be a shortage of new smartphones and laptops.

If all chips were created equal then yes they are full of crap. The ones needed for vehicles are in short supply. Tesla was affected initially but went with a different in-stock chip and changed their programming in a record 2 weeks to be able to work correctly. Other manufacturers were too slow moving and ill equipped to react that fast.

It’s 99.9% of all commercials not just cars. I’m glad that lm not the only one that’s noticed it. It is intentional because someone has to edit and schedule them into the daily programs.

Never said "all chips are created equal". Fact remains that this alleged shortage is like 99% of like stories - pure bullshit. I don't buy it for one minute. Oh, yeah, we're closing in on 19 months of said "shortage"... it's all pure BS.

Yep

gm trucks
nissan
hyundai

Every time I watch anything.

What do you think would be the advantage for GM to build in excess of 100,000 vehicles and not ship them to the dealerships? All the while not earning any revenue from the units they don't ship, risking lot rot, and loosing even more market share to Toyota.

Where I live the car commercials are in full christmas swing ....everyother dealer is overstocked and needs to move caes off the lot.....blah blah blah gas electric hihg brid you name it. deals deals deals we got em ...so tired of christmas already....
Wut ? Where is that, please tell me. I just went with a friend to help her shop for a car, since I'm her "expert" ( no comments, please  ). Nevertheless, there was very little inventory in over half a dozen dealerships we visited. And, the few were selling for $2500 to $5k OVER sticker !!! Result was,I fixed a couple minor problems on her good running old used car, I told her to wait until this fiasco is over.

We are dinosaurs. The kids buy their cars online now, direct from dealer to driveway. All of the advertising is on social media. The ones I see on the TV, when I watch, are for the self-driving crap, the buy direct, and the singing and clapping 'no app' weird ones...
And yes, I too am sick of Doug and Lemu the Emu.
It's also the chip shortage and supply chain issues that are driving the lack of ad placement. Plus, the kids don't watch network TV anymore. TV's are on the way out. The kids have screens in their hands. They don't have time to sit for hours and watch a screen when they can do six other things and carry the screen with them. Our 29-year-old doesn't even own a tv. He does have 4 computer monitors though, all connected. He explains it like this;
Why tie myself to a TV so that if I need to walk away I have to pause it or miss something. I can wear my ear buds and carry the show along with me and go for a walk, go shopping, fix a meal, get dressed, use the toilet etc. and never miss anything and not get a fat *** from sitting for hours.

Tax write-offs, for one.
