DEAL PENDING
This is my favorite camshaft for Street/Strip big blocks and we have tested
dozens over the years.
It will run deep in the 10 second range in my 69 Valiant Street/Strip car
thru the mufflers and air cleaner in place. It is a decently mild pump gas
440 engine (Stock stroke). I run a 3000 converter and 3:91 Suregrip
Here are the specs:
262 @ .050 intake and exhaust (305 Advertised)
110 Lobe Center (Good vacuum at idle)
It is about as big a camshaft as will have adequate clearance with either
a flat top or 6 pack pistons. The heads we have tested on our street/strip
cars flatten out the flow above .550 lift and do not gain much at all above
that.
BEWARE of the Comp and any other camshaft that has been produced
in the last 5 years. In my testing they are an inferior Cast Iron that often
has disastrous problems with going flat to often for me.
Also look for a CWC stamping on the cam core as even before that there were
a lot of crappy cores being distributed!
This cam has been sitting on our shop for almost 6 years as a spare, but I have not
needed it.
