A friend just bought this, a 70, 4 speed, 6 pack Cuda. Is this red bumpstrip and pin stripe correct? Ive never seen this before, but the seller stated it to be original

looks like somebody tried to imitate a challenger stripe on it. i wasn't around when these cars were new but being that i've grown up around E-bodies that would be a no from what i've seen.. is it a real V-code??

I've never seen that but suppose it could be a dealer thing.

I would check the vin# and fender tag. I think all V code cars in 1970 got a shaker hood standard, that car has no shaker hood. Also that body molding would be a no unless added by a dealer and painted. They did use side moldings but I have never seen one on a Cuda, not saying it didnt happen but I doubt it.

I think the vin# should read BS23V0 and the the body sequence numbers. Get back to us on it and also have him check the firewall cowel area for hidden vin, package shelf and I think its on the passenger side, trunk lip and rad support for the vin numbers.

it is a V code car, and I found some info that gives a code for the side molding just trying to verify if its true. If it is, its pretty cool. The car is really low milage and seems correct... Ill let you know what we find

Shaker is optional.
Should have a dana rearend standard 3.54 or 4.10 depending on what was ordered.

Hope this will help.

Maybe it was standard on the Hemi cars. I thought I read it was standard on V code and Hemi cars.

Can you post up the fender tag?

Yes the side molding was available on 70-71 Cudas and should be on your fender tag and broadcast sheet. I just sold a 71 340 4speed Cuda that had the side molding documented, included with the stripe i never seen before. I also had a documented 70 V-Code Cuda that was not a shaker
