My wife of 38 years puts up with me racing the 64. So when she wanted to show her car at the Detroit Auto-Rama i couldn't refuse.. It's been together 14 years so it needed a little clean-up. Underneath and engine compartment are done. The headers needed coated so they are out. It's amazing how many nooks and crevices there are in a mostly stock engine bay.

When we bought it I was going to do it B-5 blue. Wife put a poster up in the garage; "you waited to long to paint my car, this is the color, get used to it"

Don't see too many of those in pink.... Looks like a sweet machine..

If I may ask how did you go about detailing the engine and bay? Did you do anything special or was it just good old fashion elbow grease? I need to do mine and am looking for tips. Thx!

Got the headers back from QC Coatings. Awesome job. The bottom is done. We'll rub the outside tomorrow.

That's a pretty spectacular looking car Doug. Looks like you could almost eat off the chassis.

Nice to meet a few of you here to put a face to a name. We had a pretty good weekend. Car did well despite being completed 14 years ago
