O2 sensor wire routing

Anybody here running an AFR meter? How and where are you routing the O2 sensor wiring into the car?
I'd like to not have to cut a hole. Thought about possible routing it up threw the sifter linkage boot inside the center console. Bringing the wire out the front of the console.

I am guessing the cars are different, but on a 70 I did was to put the bung in the passenger side exhaust and then route the line up along the frame rail to the engine compartment and through a preexisting hole in the firewall next to where the ballast resistor was installed. I then modified the gauge to fit in the ashtray so I could hide the gauge when not in use.

Thanks. Im sure the 66-70 b bodies should all have the same holes. Ill check that out.

It's only the first hole that's hard to drill...after that it gets easier and the Sawzall becomes an option.

I had an exsisting hole under the starter relay.I ran all my Racepak wires up the firewall to the harness holders to the hole.Used a rubber grommet through the firewall and they all snap together.

Reed I did exactly how your suggested above without any issues. You'll have to trim up the wiring quite a bit as they give you tons of length. Fishing that wiring through the shifter boot alone was probably the most difficult part.

if car is an auto there is a plastic plug in firewall for where the clutch pedal would have been. that can be drilled through easily. the plug can be replaced later.

LOL yeah I'm not worried too much about cutting holes. Just trying to get the most direct route.

Thanks! Havent had any time to work on the sensor yet. Still trying to get the meter mounted and wired. Taking the car to work and doing the exhaust on the lift.
