Anyone ever swapped out the old stock manual steering box and replaced it with a OER Quick Ratio Steering box? If so, did you have alignment issue with the steering column? This is how mine bolted on……
I can make it fit, but not comfortable with the load I have to put on the column……
Car is a 1968 Super Bee……ugh!!

like Dadsbee said. I like to get everything connect first. The steering column to the steering box. Then I tighten all the firewall bolts.

...and you'll need a good helper inside the car to hold the column while you move it into position onto the steering box connection.

Except I suggest that the column is tightened at the top end first - to the brace, then the firewall is able to float while the connection to the steering box is complete - tighten the firewall plate bolts last to ensure everything is in its happy place.

If you read the FSM, it says to leave the firewall bolts loose and tighten last, to avoid wear on the lower column bearing.
