Steering not self correcting

What does OP stand for?

I remember the good old days when people would spell the entire word(s) out.
I agree with you in part.
There are some abbreviations and terms that have become commonplace on these forums that are helpful but yeah, some are annoying. Sometimes what bothers me are the abbreviations for stuff that doesn’t take long to just spell out correctly.
I was told that these shortcuts became popular in part due to many people using cell phones when using the forums and the tiny screens make it harder to type out full words.
I guess that makes sense.

So sorry for that, original poster. I'm with Kern Dog on using abbreviations and don't normally use them. OP has been common place on here.

You definitely have something unusual with that steering box. Closest I found was a Firm Feel on Rock auto that looks similar being I don't see a way to adjust it either. Please keep us up to date on what it might be.

Is that the new box from Lares ? I’ve read on this forum that they offered rebuild original Mopar chucks but branched out to offer all new units built with a closer ratio. So many of us have switched to the Borgeson unit but it is nice to see options like these come along too.

@Big D A12 were there different manufacturers of PS gears for 69 Bee's?
If you are asking me I don't have a clue. That is what I am trying to find out however as I mentioned a 40+ year red seal mechanic friend of mine said he has never seen a P.S. box like the one currently in my car and although there is the screw/nut adjustment on top of the box there is no place that has the two bolts to set the steering wheel so it doesn't jump to the left or right when you start the car.

Wouldn't that round cap with the four bolts be for adjustment or is this piece part of the screw/lock nut adjustment?

@ and a members name here will send him a notification. BigD is a smart guy and a valuable resource for late 60's Mopars. He specializes in A12 cars (69 1/2 Bees and Road Runners) If there is an odd gearbox that was used, he will know about it.

Thank you. Have you ever heard of an aftermarket P.S. box made by Turguson? I know the spelling is incorrect.

Looked on the Borgeson site and couldn't find anything that looked like my P.S. gearbox.
I could be, a friend mentioned it but didn't know the correct pronunciation.

The P.S. gearbox in my car right now has the screw and locknut adjustment but not the adjustment when you loosen 2 or 4 bolts and tap the plate about 1/64 inch so the steering wheel won't jump the the left or right of center when you start the car.
