I guess that's like a "Zoom" thing or whatever. Video interview from home...
I don't know how to do these things. Oy.
Any pointers?

I'm sure you have instructions from them. Other than getting on line with the meeting, just act like it's in person.

Good luck. Be aware of your surroundings and what (or who) may be behind you in the frame.

...and assume the "mute" button doesn't work.

Good luck.. never did zoom so no advice here.

Yea I use Microsoft teams religiously. Pretty easy to use...I know there is a way to do a test run just to make sure your audio, video is working prior to jumping on the real deal call.

If you don't see a test run ability on your invite and you'd like to give it a shot via mine PM me with your email address I'll send you a quick invite and we'll do a test run. :) Good luck on your interview!!

Good luck! Just be yourself and meter your answers to their questions. Interviews now a days seem to be more like a psychology quiz! Be honest but careful. 440'

First off, THANK YOU for all the well wishes, I really appreciate it.
It's an odd situation for me, all this application and interview jazz - in 40+ years, I've
never really had to "audition" for a gig before and it's sort of nerve-racking.

Well, now I've done it; it's over. First time on Microsoft Teams, a virgin no more. :)
When it was over and he asked me if I had questions, I bluntly asked for his honest critique
on both my performance AND my resume'.
He was very positive and kind in his reply and offered nothing in the way of advice to change
anything, but being a corporate critter, he probably isn't at liberty to be forthcoming on such
things, either....
Anyways, it's done and I think I did ok?
Guess there's more steps in the process and he's got some others to talk to, so who knows?

Give it a few days and follow up with him, again thank them for their time & consideration. I always appreciate that when a candidate I interview does that. Shows that they are indeed interested.

Oh yeah, that email (including the "corporate recruiter" also) has already been written. :)

As mentioned, follow up in a few days to find out what the status is.
Don't be surprised if they never respond back, ghosting seems to be standard procedure these days.

Hope you get the job!

You're talent and skill are all they care about sir, but all the same.....make sure the camera is pointed more up, then down. (hehe) No need for a vid of your hog to break the ice.

The camera is the kind that hangs off the top of your monitor.
Once the meeting was over, I unplugged that thing from the USB quick and tossed it in a drawer. :)

My recommendation is to not hit send tho for a few days so you don't 'look too desperate' if that's even really a thing....especially if you already thanked him on the call. Immediately following up with an email might be a bit over powering...but I wouldn't sweat it if ya already did. :)
