Ohh Barra-Barracuda

New tires are on and fit. Charging system all working. Although with the electric fans and headlights on at idle, I'm maxing out the stock 45 amp alternator. Reading 13.9 volts at battery idle with no other loads. With fans and headlights at idle reading 12.8 volts. So might need to upgrade the alternator later. Brakes work, but still need to flush the entire system. Replace the hoses. Adjusted the sway bar so the driver side tire doesn't contact it any more. Titled, registered, and insured. Up next clay bar, polish, and wax. And a good cleaning of the interior. Then it should be ready to go for a cruise night.

12.8 at idle is still fine in fact it's pretty good, as soon as you start moving it will equalize charge.
A battery doesn't just go dead with a slight discharge for even 5-10 minutes, starting the engine is a much bigger consumer.
If you do get a bigger alternator i wouldn't suggest a great big 100 amp unit, then the wiring in the car is suspect particularly if the batttery ever does get run down and you need/have a high charge rate.

I didn't go looking for a 64 Barracuda. It just found me. But now that I own it, It has really grown on me. To the point where I actually like the way it looks.
