Hey all,

I changed my oil filter and oil a few weeks ago. Haven't started the car yet because I am waiting for a new fuel pump. The weather was nice for about 3 weeks and no leaks were visible. Last week the weather became a fair bit colder and when I came back to the car, a small puddle of fresh oil sat underneath the K member. At first glance it seems to come from the filter. Could this be just because of the cold weather?

I also put some oil on the rubber seal before putting it on and tightened the filter by hand 3/4 turns after it was snug (like it said on the WIX filter).

Should I get a new filter? or tighten it up more? or wait to run the engine?

Best,

Thom

Get your fuel pump installed and run it. If the filter leaks just tighten it up. 440'

Did you make sure the old filter gasket came away with the filter?
I have seen filters mistakenly fitted with 2 rubber seals.
