My question, is anyone pull oil pan out change gasket and put it back without pulling engine out? Thank you.

I replaced rear main seal and oil pan gasket on my 67 r/t 440, shouldn't be much different then the hemi. You have to drop the center link and the rest to pretty straight forward. I did mine 62 years old laying on my back.

Not to hijack but...

Dave Dodge, what kind of seal did you use? I have to do my race car and i dont want to pull the engine either.

69 Roadrunner, 440. Can I replace the oil pan casket that has a deep oil pan without pulling the motor?

If it's a 5 quart pan , remove and replace with engine in is a piece of cake , the two front bolts are a bit of a pita and the center link has to be dropped down.
Glue the gasket to bottom of block with Gasgacinch or good contact cement and glue the windage tray gasket to the pan.
I discourage the use of silicone on pan gaskets.
Never seen silicone on a stock oil pan--not needed
Also use a ball peen hammer and a block of steel and flatten out the pan bolt holes that have been caved in from 50 years of repeated over tightening in attempt to stop pan leak

Haven't had the car that long; not sure about how many quarts the pan is, I think 6-7. Some time before I bought the car, this history is that it went into a ditch and the lower pan struck something and dented it; and possibly sprung it. Leaking pretty good now so it's time to replace the pan.. Thanks Bill for the info on gaskets and the (non) silicone.
