Installing a 1970 383 hp in my 64 Fury which has a 361. Will I have to switch oil pans for it to fit?

Thanks!

The 361 pan is made to fit the 62-65 cars, so yes its a better fit than the 66-72 "B"s. Switch the oil pickup as well. If your 361 items are in bad shape, new stuff that is a proper fit is now available as well for 62-65 cars. HTH, Lefty71

At one time they were available from Mancini. That's where I got one from. Possible that Vans Auto may have them.
Reusing the 361 pan is for 2 reasons. First is the 70 pan will hit the right side corner of the K frame ( or come very close to it)thought the K can be notched.
Second the drag link of the early B's will rub the 1970 pan as it is a bit deeper at the back of the pan.You can shim the engine mounts to clear.

Can the 70 windage tray be modified to fit the 64 361 pan so the 64 pickup can also used or is it close enough that I shouldn’t have to worry?

The windage tray will fit with a lot of trimming, almost not worth using. Reproduction max wedge pans are available, something I’d look into. PM 69bfan on here, he has them. Also I think Mancini carries them among other vendors.
