Okay, say you DID own a Flux Capacitor. What car to use for time travel???

I would love to go back and, as and observer" watch various family members at points of their lives to see how they were when they were back then. Memories fade and become distorted so this would be really great.

**EDIT***
I just realized that THIS post is similar to mine, #4 in this topic. I guess my feelings haven't changed much since I started this thread last year.

I'd go back to 1969 and enjoy my girlfriends again for the next few years. Oh, and in my 6-bbl Road Runner, and whoop *** on the streets again.

The Coronet thinks it is 1969. Good enough for me. It is my time machine. Motown on the radio, and a fill up with Sunoco Blue 260.
Love Motown!!

I really have no desire to see the future but would love to experience the 50's, the car????? Might as well go in style and in something that would blend in like a 1950 Merc or Hornet.

I would take my dad's 1982 mustang ( I don't like mustang so I don't care if it damaged during the time travel ) and I would go to 1985 to the beach where I grew up , and i would find my grandma and give her the kiss and the hug that I desperately need to give her and told her how much I love her and how much I still miss her .

I remember feeling bad for not visiting my Grandmother more before she passed on. She made it to 93 and was still sharp in the mind. Her body just wore out on her. She was a sweet lady, country smart and not one to tolerate liars or cheats.

I time traveled every time I got in my 66 Belvedere! Just glad I got to drive it for 10 years before I took it apart because it sure doesn't look like I'm going to be able to put her back together.....

For me, the '74 blazer we had when I was a kid...Going back in time I'd want something big and unstoppable like that thing was. I'd just have to short two of the capacitor's phases together to make the time jump at more like 58 mph...

Would you risk a classic Mopar? DeLoreans are not that easy to find nowadays, right?
Me? I'd want to use a newer vehicle since my Duster doesn't run, the Dart may not reach 88 mph and I wouldn't risk damage to the Charger!

What era of time would you visit ? The past or the future?
I don't want to see the future. I might go ahead 5 years and find out that I am dead. That would suck to find out.
Sorry for being late to an awesome question but I have to also say sorry for the car I’d use would be my ‘73 4spd Cuda.

69 Roadrunner. And I'd try to change a few mistakes I made if it could be done without changing where I am now for the worse.

That's what thus forums for.

Vehicle of choice for me. My 95 Dakota 4x4 w 5.2L most reliable vehicle I've ever owned and will hit 88mph quick as most any truck.
Probably couldn't go to far back. So If just go to the mid 90s and get down the pants of some of my old girl classmates.
I'd also visit my grandfather and listen this time when he talked about his experience in the South Pacific.
I'd also visit my great grandmother who was a saint of a person. She grew up in WW1 era Iowa. Think horses and not cars

Had a 92 Dakota 5.2 with 3.90 gears, LSD, auto, reg cab swb. It did 15.30 with 200 miles on the clock. I sold it when my now X got back together from a split up back then (reason I bought it) and figured since we were a family of 4, it wasn't feasible to keep it. Another mistake. In 98 I got my dad's 95 V6 slug and am still driving it. Only good thing about it is the straight pipe. Been running straights since the 70's and this thing takes the cake for nastiness as far as sound goes and I'm not talking about a good kind lol.

Last I heard a Flux Capacitor needs a stainless steel body to make the trip. And don't forget the 1.21 gigawatts of energy needed. Just saying....

This could work

I would go back to 1969 and order a triple black hemi charger. Then I would go talk to Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison and explain how much the world needs them to survive the early 70's.

Forget using a car, I'd make it a train. Go back to 1969, load up some new cars in box cars, and return to the present. Take the cars to Barret Jackson.
