Old cars by old supermarkets

I'm showing my age by telling this , there used to be a drive in theater on the east side of the street near the HIP.

only drive-in left around here (close to you and me anyways) is Cascade on North Ave in West Chicano. and that place has been going downhill for a while now. ive got a lotta good memories at that place.

MarPar you see the purple charger on st Charles rd parked at the car interior place. I'm bad at names and I only been in villa park for 26 yrs so go figure.

Here's a couple of shots from my hometown. The first is the Thorofare on Northern Pike Blvd in Monroeville, PA and the second is the Krogers at the Miracle Mile Shopping Center on RT 22 in Monroeville, PA. Spent a lot of time in those stores as a kid.

I know that intersection well. Go past the Thorofare, make a right, go about 1/2 mile to RT 22 and there you are. We drove past that Pier 1 Imports for years and I never had any idea what that store sold. :)

They've been around since the 60s! I remember going in there during breaks at school and buying incense, drip candles and cheap items. I remember buying Dutch chocolate bars for 6¢ and selling them for 10¢. :)
