Hello everyone. I owned my first 68GTX440/727 back in 69. In the mid 80's, I bought my second 68GTX440/727, less many of it's interior parts. The car had been modified for racing and was and in need of a full restoration. Over the past 25 years, I have obtained almost all of the original parts from sources across Canada & USA. In some cases, lesser quality pieces have been replaced with quality replica parts. During 2013-2014, I pulled the motor (although in running condition) for the fun of 'hopping it up' just a notch or two, and also check things out for wear etc etc. prior to full engine & trans paint. At some point, very early on during this rebuild, I lost sight of my original budget & went looney-tunes installing a trailer load of trick parts under the old girl's hood. About 3 months back, I bought a number of new AMD panels and parts, that have since been professionally installed. It was a good time to also address several minor framework repairs. Multi-layers of paint and/or primer, applied over the years, are currently being stripped down to metal to seek out and professionally repair any/all surprises that could be hiding below, prior to prep and final paint. It will be my fun and joy to re-install all the goodies, once back home. Although almost done with this project, I may post a question or two on the FBBO forum, kindly seeking your advice.
In the meantime...., I will enjoy reading some of your posts. Rock'On Mopar! :VB toast:
