Hello everyone. I owned my first 68GTX440/727 back in 69. In the mid 80's, I bought my second 68GTX440/727, less many of it's interior parts. The car had been modified for racing and was and in need of a full restoration. Over the past 25 years, I have obtained almost all of the original parts from sources across Canada & USA. In some cases, lesser quality pieces have been replaced with quality replica parts. During 2013-2014, I pulled the motor (although in running condition) for the fun of 'hopping it up' just a notch or two, and also check things out for wear etc etc. prior to full engine & trans paint. At some point, very early on during this rebuild, I lost sight of my original budget & went looney-tunes installing a trailer load of trick parts under the old girl's hood. About 3 months back, I bought a number of new AMD panels and parts, that have since been professionally installed. It was a good time to also address several minor framework repairs. Multi-layers of paint and/or primer, applied over the years, are currently being stripped down to metal to seek out and professionally repair any/all surprises that could be hiding below, prior to prep and final paint. It will be my fun and joy to re-install all the goodies, once back home. Although almost done with this project, I may post a question or two on the FBBO forum, kindly seeking your advice.
In the meantime...., I will enjoy reading some of your posts. Rock'On Mopar! :VB toast:

You asked for photos...

I was asked to post some pics....I'm not sure how many I can upload here, so will give it a try. GTX Prototype.jpgImage_01.jpgImage_02.jpgImage_03.jpgImage_04.jpgImage_05.jpgImage_06.jpgImage_07.jpgImage_09.jpgGTX Ignition Wiring Layout.jpg

Welcome! Very nice!

Thank-you very much for all of your comments. Much has been done, since my original post and her body lines are now stock and solid metal, front to back. The frame has been reinforced for future HP upgrades requiring that sections of the floor also be customized, to compensate for the raised frame height, that now sits hidden directly beneath the L/R bucket seats and rear floor boards. Exhaust gas damage, typically found on the rear-most frame rails and cross panel, has been totally removed & replaced with professionally fabricated steel. Any surprises that were found behind the old quarters & rockers, were also removed and replaced with new steel. L/R doors and all fender panels are all straight & now correctly aligned. Unfortunately, the current hood mods, have fallen short of what I had originally designed, but will have to do for now. Or, until I flip out and throw the whole works in the garbage pail and start over! In the meantime, hopefully, the old GTX will be ready for paint by month's end... Then the fun starts.

That is a very cool car you have there. Congrats and welcome to FBBO :hello2:
