Looking for opinions here. I have a 69 Super Bee clone. 451 stroker, automatic, 3.91 SG. The car was originally a T7 Coronet 440, 318 car. In over 30 years of building and restoring Mopars, I never had much interest in originality, and my focus was always more on performance. The car is a factory A/C car, but literally everything forward of the firewall is missing. I’m finding it difficult to justify spending hundreds of dollars on piecing together almost 60 year old lines, condenser, etc. The heater core in the A/C box is bad, and I’m debating on removing the A/C altogether and converting the firewall to “heat only” when I pull the car apart and restore it. I have decades of experience in panel replacement, as well as body/paint, and figured if down the road I ever wanted A/C, I would go with a Vintage/Classic AC unit. What is everyone’s opinion of this? I always hated the clutter of a big V2 compressor and all of the lines and condenser.
And yes, I am aware I would have to change the center dash pad.
