Options or anyone know?

I`ve been noticing in the pics that everyone post some different things that made me wonder. I noticed some B bodies have wheel lip molding & some don't. Was this an option that I didn't know was an option or are people just electing not to use them on their cars? Also on the 70 Coronet/Superbees I noticed some have the chrome trim on the front valance & some don't. Just curious.:headbang:

It has to do with the trim / price level of the car originally. GTX's and Sport Sats and R/Ts and 500 had higher trim (and price) levels than the the base and spartan RR/SuperBees models.

There is yes YY1. I was just saying the items where standard equip on the higher priced cars.

Wheel lip moldings were standard on the 68-70 Super Bee.

Wheel lip N/A on 68-70 Belvedere and RR. They became optional on the, now base level, 71 Satellite and RR models.

Wheel lip molding availability does vary by years and application.

They were standard on 66-67 Charger but I believe it had to do with trim level as mentioned on 66-7 Coronets. Not sure about 68-70, then the third gen Chargers it became an option, again a trim level thing. Example, 73 Rallye, no w/o or rocker mldg.

That's why I say it varies by year and application.

Very generally:

Plymouth = 66-70 Satellite, SS and GTX trim level and above = yes. Lower trim level 66-70 Belvedere/71+ Satellite and RR = no or optional depending on the year.
Dodges = Generally yes on Coronets and Chargers.

Sometimes it depends on whether the car was 2 or 4 door.
