It was certainly state-wide news, I don't know if the national news will pick it up. It seems two men were running from a federal three-letter agency and tried to ram them with their vehicle. Then got out and took some shots at them. I don't think they've been captured yet. Black Forest has about 100 people but I'm sure these men were from the much larger Colorado Springs.

My comment would propel this into PF. Now... is this where Black Forest Cake originates from ?

An early German explorer in Colorado thought the Black Forest here reminded him of the one in Germany. It's all Ponderosa Pines. Hardy any deciduous trees here. Some Aspens at lower elevations. ( I'm at 7,500' and I can grow both in my yard.) Once the Aspens take hold then it's hard to get rid of them. Their root systems spread out underground and they start popping up everywhere. There's a complicated geological reason for the pines which I won't get into here.
