I had my 70 GTX out today and noticed at above 70mph the drivers side mirror points down, anybody got fix besides a full replacement thanx Max

Drive 55?? :)

Seriously....what type of mirror? racing, rallye, standard? Maybe the mirror just needs some tightening or a service.
I've driven my '70 GTX at 130mph, and the only thing I saw in my mirror was a Mustang getting smaller. ;)

Standard mirror................ never seen rally mirrors on a 70............. If anybody knows of a way to tighten it up please chime in Thanx Max

Not a very common option on mine......

That looks totally weird to me, how about a bigger picture of the car. I grew up with my car, mom bought it in 1971.

Here it is at a magazine shoot in September 2006;

and here is a shot from a magazine from August 1975;

and here it is in Las Vegas 1973;

If it is a ball and socket mount I think I remember hearing about applying Loctite on the ball after cleaning with alcohol and moving it around to get the Loctite into the socket. Then let it dry.
