I'm looking for a park cable housing for my A727 Torqueflite pushbutton trans. Mine has pinholes and hairline cracks. If anybody has one they're parting out, I would appreciate a call. Dan Wilson (205)907-220

Can you file the gasket flange flat and fill the pin holes with JB Weld? Torque these to factory specs too.

Nearly every one I've seen is warped, easy fix with a flat file and stone. I've seen pitted ones, easy fix with JB weld. I've never seen a cracked one. Where is the crack?

on this subject, how do you get the park cable to stop leaking? I don't mean the sleeve as I have the glue type heat shrink on it, but where the cable inserts into the housing. It has an oring and started leaking when after I pulled it to install the heat shrink.

Did you replace the o-ring with a new one? Lube it up before insertion? (He! He!)

lol. it was a new one when built a year ago. Maybe I tore it and rammed it in there too quick without lube. Good point, thanks, I'll pop it back out to check.
