Putting together an 8-3/4 w/ 3.55’s. Started shallow and went deep, came back out a touch. .008” BL. Drive looks a touch deep still, coast is what it is. Gears were from MRE, part is not showing on their site anymore. These were new with a project car and the parts were all bought about 15 years ago. I have no idea what brand these really are. I think I’m going to run this. Let me know what you think. Thx!

It's not always easy to get the same pattern on coast and drive. Go with a good pattern on the drive and the coast ends up where it is. Drive pattern will come up under acceleration so halfway is good. The last three I've done only one set worked out near perfect on the drive/coast. They were Nitros from Dr Diff.

The drive side looks pretty good and you have a nice wide print on the coast side even if it is out on the edge of the heel. The backlash may need to be decreased a little to move the coast off the heel - maybe to .006”. But that’s getting pretty tight so running it as is might be best. You might pm member dvw and see what he says.

Thanks! Was planning on trying to get it closer to .006” on final assembly.

A tighter back lash is not always better. It's there for heat expansion.

It’s all together, ready to hit the road. The .006 pattern didn’t look as good as the .008. It moved the drive down the heel. .008” it is. Thx everyone!
