I sent an email to the company:

"Hello there, I need to replace a failed vacuum advance on my Mopar small block Pertronix billet distributor #D1417. Do you have a part number nd price please? Thank you."

Anyone else already solved such a problem? Meanwhile, i'm going to borrow the single points distributor from our 1965 Barracuda. The Pertronix is being used on our 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus using 318 (last year) and now 340 motors.

What has failed, the diaphragm?
Well, the plate inside the distributor will not move when distributor is installed and vacuum hose connected. Neither will the plate move when the distributor is outside the vehicle and a vacuum pump is used to test the vacuum advance unit.

As 1W-RT said GM style v-adv. I had the same thing happen on my BB. Diaphragm was crimped wrong, couldn't pull a vacuum. Went to Federated got a replacement unit for a BB chebby, problem solved.
