Petaluma Ca ‘70 GTX??

I’m here, I’m here!!! You say he might have the original block? Interesting. I assume that’s the only pic he had? I can’t tell if it has a front plate. Is this a phone pic of a picture? Is there a clearer version? I’m curious if this is actually my car, it looks like it was pretty nice. The red paint under the primer when I got it didn’t look like it was terribly nice.
Travis..
I’m 100% sure that’s the car.
Photo taken in Petaluma California on Peggy Lane. Estimate pic taken 86-88ish.
FC7 under the red paint.
4 speed 3.54 U code.
Had a 440 with a offy 2x4 intake.
I don’t remember it being #s matching?
I called a Freind who called his brother who called a previous owner who sent me the pic.
Previous owner told them he (might)have the original motor???

Very cool, it sounds like it took some serious networking to get this done. I very much appreciate it. In the pm I sent you was the last of my vin. If the guy thinks he may have the block, and you have the ability to have him check, it may be something to consider. If you talk to any of these guys, see who got the parking tickets and didn’t pay them. When I registered it after purchase, I had to pay those tickets which is how I found out it was last reg’d in Petaluma. California is serious about collecting fines.

Another tidbit about the car. When I got it, there was no carpet in it, but there was a chunk of orange(?) shag sandwiched between the gas pedal and the floor. I imagine that was in there since the 70s??

LOL the parking tickets belonged to a guy named Rudy.
He was always getting trouble with cars.
I was going to trade him my grandmothers 63 impala coupe straight across for GTX.
The deal fell apart though.
I see my friend soon and get some info on what he was talking about with the motor.

Sounds good, I really appreciate it. If anyone has any more pics, or any stories or other info, that would be cool too.
Travis..
