This pic was taken on Freitas Parkway in Petaluma Ca in 1983.
Also known as Paradise Rd in in American Graffiti were drag race scene was filmed. It had a checker board start and finish line painted on it then.
Now it’s has a abandoned golf course on it.

I drive through there pretty regularly and can't help but wonder about the golf course going to seed. I thought golfers would spend any amount of money to keep their courses nice. I didn't know about the American Graffiti connection.

My first car and Plymouth in 68. Note the old 60 Fairlane in the garage. That was my Mom's and what I learned to drive in. I think it's overall width was something like 81-1/2' and it had to fit through a 7' wide garage door. It and the door frames had a lot of scars.
