Pics from Back in the Day

Since this has almost morphed into a post about minimum wage, here is a picture from back in the day of my first job. I worked on this ride in 1973, a year before this picture was taken, as an operator and ticket taker. The wage was $1.40/hr. Since this was considered seasonal work it was below the national minimum.

The front of the car was designed to be a Pontiac. I saw a Pontiac design studio drawing that was exactly like a 70 Superbee, except it had the Pontiac beak between the two looped bumpers. Everything else was exactly the same as a 70 Superbee. I am guessing that the Pontiac designer ended up at the Dodge design studio when the 70 Coronet was designed.
