I am going if for no other reason to pick up my rebuilt transmission.

I've only been to the Rod Run a couple times, enough for me to know it's not my cup of tea.
WAY too many people, way too much traffic - and I'll bet it's gonna be a REAL zoo this
year especially.
That's great for most people. Me, I don't do well in heavy traffic or big crowds.
I am glad they've had a change of heart, though. The area could certainly use the boost in
tourist $$$.

I just moved to to area and have never been , I hear its crazy, but I gotta try it at lease once.
i hope to find some locals that like to cruise and hang out in the PF/ gatlinburg/sevierville area

Planning on moving to Blount co. myself in the next year or two. They do a small cruise night at the Foothills Malls in Maryville on Friday evenings. I was just told that they do a larger show a couple of times a year at the West Town Mall in west Knoxville also. Maybe some guys local to the area can chime in. I see a lot of rods and muscle cars cruising around Maryville so I would think that there is more going on.

The West Town Mall is a Coffee & Cars event always on Sunday mornings and sometimes gets up to around 4000 cars. Everything from Street Rods to Lamborghinis. The best show close to Knoxville is monthly in Somerset KY. About 1.5 hr drive from Knoxville. Held each month April to October with daytime show and a lot of night cruising. Somertime Nights on the web for anyone wanting to check it out.

Cosby is Gods Country
We usually camp in Cosby and it takes about 45 minutes to drag the camper over there.
