Hi Mopar Experts,
I have a 1967 383 that I'm rebuilding. It originally had 516 heads and I'm going to put on 452 heads.
It's bored 30 over and I'm using flat top pistons.
My question is, are all flat top pistons the same or are there taller ones for open chamber heads.
Thanks

I'm misunderstanding your question.
Pistons are either flat top or dome.
I'm quite sure "dome" pistons are for higher compression ratio.

I think you want flat top pistons....

Hemi rebel is correct. Flat tops come in various compression ratios

This is answered about a million time for 383...

KB Hypers 162 (6cc vr) & 400 (-6cc dome) are 1.908 CH so you will be in the hole .024-.027 if you do not deck your block.

Speed Pro Forged 2315 (flat top) are 1.920 CH and will be .015 in the hole if you do not deck the block.

All other cast 383 pistons are junk and nice Diamond Racing pistons require new rods for the pins.
