Having read all about the seals leaking around the pitman arm, I did reseal my box before I installed it. Now, at that time I wasn't aware of the fine tuning of the valve for the pressure balance on the left and right and therefore naturally, it spun the steering wheel hard left. I tried adjusting it a couple of times for maybe all of 5 mins each. Never had a leak. Then one day while trying again, it just blew out and fluid all over \the floor. I wonder if because the steering locked all the way to one side because of the valve being out of adjustment, did that cause excess pressure to blow the seal?? Anybody know if this situation can cause excess pressure? I remember people saying nearly forever,...don't bind youyr steering by turning too hard to either direction but that never came with an explanation.

If the seal actually blew out the snap ring must not of been in the groove. Never seen adjusting or turning the wheel to an extreme causing a seal failure.
