Threads stripped on the bolt. Eccentric moved. Foot braked the car at the track with front runners so it could have moved then also. These tires were on the car from my Roadrunner for the winter months in the trailer, Took the car around the block and the tire came back hit the fender and cut it. With a spool in the car it went hard right. That was the end of that car. Insurance paid for the car but I had it since the 70's. I miss the old girl so I keep it sitting out back.

I didn't do the alignment or I would replaced the bolts. The bolts with the two flats have a lot less threads. I also put one in the vise after taking the car apart. You could not imagine how soft they were. The originals are twice as hard if not more. Good Idea with the tall nuts I will be doing that nowOuch! Sorry that happened, car looked and sounded nice. Strange enough I was adjusting my cam bolts to fine tune my alignment and had 2 nuts strip (on the original adjusters). The thread pitch/size is the same as rear axle u bolts, which are taller nuts and have more surface area. I replaced all four with the tall nuts.
