Every 176 years, a "Grand Tour" alignment of the outer planets occurs, where Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all line up on one side of the Sun.

David Pearson had a better track record than Richard Petty. But wasn't in as many races.
And he won the 1966 Championship in a new sleek Charger.

Things were different 500 years ago and more, when lifespans were short and girls married at 10 years old. Even into the 1880s, the age of consent in some states and territories was 10, 12 years old. That started to change in the 1900s, but even as recent as 100 years ago in the US some customs were weird...

In January 1937, a 22-year-old man from Sneedville, Tennessee named Charlie Johns robbed the cradle and married 9-year-old Eunice Winstead. Though the mothers of Johns and Winstead initially believed that Eunice was too young to marry, they ultimately decided to approve of the marriage. Life Magazine penned an article about the marriage the month following the wedding. (Winstead's mother had married at the age of sixteen, and her sister Ina married at thirteen, by the way.) Even though at the time of their marriage Tennessee had no minimum age for marriage, in response to Johns and Winstead's marriage, the state introduced a law setting the minimum age of marriage at sixteen. Note to self: I'm never taking that flight

Around 10 years ago Delta Airlines flew an Airbus A330-300 from Singapore to Atlanta nonstop. The A330-300 is only certified to fly about 6300 mi, but with the a/c flying empty out of a maintenance check in Singapore with just the flight crew and a couple of maintenance reps on board it made the trip easily. With permission from the FAA and flying during the winter to take advantage of the prevailing winds the a/c made it with plenty of gas to spare. Longest flight ever made by A330-300.

One of the most well preserved pieces of Roman architecture is nowhere near Rome, or Italy. It is the Porta Nigra, one of the city gates all the way up in Germany by the city of Trier.

Roman gates were massive entrances to cities, usually there were four; one for each side of the walls in a square city.

This gate was constructed in the late 2nd century, by 400 AD it would have looked like this:

Still in good condition, this is how it looks today:

Trier had a lot of Roman history. Other remaining examples are the Imperial Baths -
