I find myself in need of a new power brake master cylinder for a 66 Dodge Charger 318. The front brakes were replaced with disc before I purchased it. Do not know the brand ar anything about the upgrade other that it has a Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve. Does anyone have a source recommendation. Can the master cylinder be rebuilt> TIA Charger Ted

Sure you can rebuild cylinder providing you can find a kit and that the bore of the cylinder is not badly corroded. There is a maximum you can safely hone out the cylinder. I just tried doing my original cylinder but was past the limit. FSM says .002, other sources say .005. I had to replace mine with off shore crap. There are also facilities that can re-sleeve but very expensive. Take a picture of cylinder. What failed on cylinder?

Don't know what failed. My mechanic said he cant get the pedal to feel right and it may need a new master cylinder. I do trust him. The only source I have been able to find is classic industries but my experience is that it takes forever to get something from them. Thank You

^^^ And, they are all Chineseum garbage , and they have no technical support or knowledge to identify what has been put in your vehicle with the conversion…. ^^^

If you have picture taking capabilities, I can look at it , and know what it is , and I am 99 % sure that I have it in stock — New , U.S.A. made , with No Core Required // No return shipping…..

Yours , Craig…..

Mike beat my typing into you —- but that first statement of my response applies to the whole Chineseum world — classic industries , and the Chineseum Queen of the universe , rock auto…..

With disc conversion it should be a dual master now, stock was a single.

Need a photo of it.

Just lose all contact info for classic, please.

And what do we do after Craig's stock is depleted?

I have found a very good source for brake conversions and parts to be Dr Diff
They are very helpful and knowledgeable
With this being a conversion you may need to know the diameter of the master cylinder bore

493 Mike ,
Some items I can resupply….
Others , I can’t ( with Quality )….
I hope I expire at the same time as my parts !!!
^^^ Results T B D ( to be determined ) ^^^

I’ve heard the name Dr. Diff —- and I wouldn’t know whom he is , if he walked by me —-
But I dare say , that an old parts information game show between anyone and me , they would be vying for second place….. ( I have been in the Antique and Classic Auto Parts hobby for 55 years now , and God Blessed Me with some unbelievable Gray Matter , thankfully )
Craig…..
