I am at work and trying to order a new belt for my 66 Charger. They list two pulley sizes, 4 3/4 inches and 5 1/2 inches. Here is a picture of the pump. Does anyone know which size this should be?

The size of the belt or the size of the pulley?

Either pulley if it lines up should work. The 5-1/2” might work better to feed the pump unless you have an engine built to really wind up rpm’s.

Or, tie a piece of string around the pulleys with the adjusters at 1/2 way, then measure the string

Sorry, I was asking because I am not currently near the car. I can measure when I get home.

I would say 5 1/2. Compare to other pulleys in the picture.
Is that the O.D. (outside diameter) or the P.D. (pitch diameter) of the sheave? The pitch diameter is where the belt runs......the difference can be significant.......just thought you might like to know.....

I found a picture of my original belts from when I disassembled the engine. Based upon those it appears to be the smaller 4 3/4 pulley, but I will confirm when I get home.

Thanks for all replies. I confirmed when I got home that it has the 4 3/4 pulley.
