It does look a little different than what I am used to seeing. Pretty common on the loaded up C-Bodies. They can fit lots of other mopars.

If it's Mopar, it must be older. The newer ones from the 80's cars look like this.
And mod 70’s
70 b body and possibly 68/69 used vaccum operated trunk release but lock mechanism is def a Mopar

The pictured electric lock/latch/bracket assembly, part number 2486614, is for a 1964 - 1966 Imperial.
The following diagram shows the assembly installation:

Please show us on the factory literature where this option was available on a 68-70 B-body.
Also show the switch and where it is mounted.

I have used the vacuum ones before. They require a vacuum reservoir can, as well as the vacuum latch assembly. I mounted the switch inside the glove box.

The Chrysler Fifth Avenue luxury cars of the 80s came with these.
Later model front wheel drive cars came with the electric ones too, though I've never trial fitted them to a classic to see if they work. The cool thing about these things is that they still allow a key to work to open the trunk if the electric latch fails or the battery is dead.

To reduce an argument I’ve seen at the Nats a 70 GTX that had a unit and the switch mounted under dash by ash tray underneath
I didn’t want to come off as a know it all or arguemenative but possibly add on from dealer but I could check my build sheet to see if there’s a line to denote the option. I could sweat gentlemen said it was factory

That is where all of mine are in 2 of my 70 Chargers, 2 of my 70 Challengers and in my 74 New Yorker.
Are they optioned on the build sheets may I asked or you think dealer installed? Be cool to see pics of trunk and under dash location. Thanks 6PK
