Any of you guys ever use or put up one ?
You can buy them ethire way, company installed or do it yourself.
We sold our rental property so I gave up my 30 × 50 building. I have a stick built shop here at home but thats were the 67 lives.
I need to add some indoor parking and was looking at these. Any experience with them good or bad ?

The ones I’ve seen are pretty thin gauge steel and screwed together.. I don’t have much faith in one... lawnmower storage ok maybe ... imo

I think it depends on your weather. I live in an area where we have this thing called lake effect snow and it is measured in feet not inches. So it would not be a good fit, plus being so close to a great lake we get buffeted by wind. So if you live in tornado country it might not be a good structure. But other than that extreme conditions I mentioned, I think the building would be fine. Especially on a decent concrete pad. I've only been to Iowa during the summer, Iowa City to be exact, I remember it was very hot and dry in July. Didn't seem to be severe weather.

My friend just had one installed. He is happy with it. He had to pay extra for the concrete. Make sure to ask everything before you purchase it.

Thanks, our weather , everything but hurricanes .

How much snow in your area? My question would be how much snow load it can stand. My storage building is 60X100 and has a 125 mph wind load rating. I'm in Alabama so hardly any snow, but we do get the remains of some hurricanes, but usually nothing 125 mph plus. My building kit was 23000, and I gladly paid the $1.25 a square foot they wanted to install it on my slab. Prices were 25 years ago, and it would probably be twice that or more today. The company I used provided slab plans that included bolt down dimensions, and specifications for extra concrete in the load areas. Only one leak in all that time. Insulation was included in the building price.

Real nice building and lot Jerry . As far as snow we can have winters with several small snows then some winters we can get it 2 ft. at a time lol.
Once in awhile we get some pretty heavy straight line winds.
Tornados for sure but they can hit anyplace.
The company I emailed takes into account my areas snow loads and pitchs and supports the roof accordingly .
Since its just for our daily drivers , mowers ect I am pretty interested.
Local builders here are booked well into mid summer thats what got me searching these buildings.
Thanks.

Your building supplier will have a list of certified contractors that erect buildings. Nothing hard for them to do, just heavy work. They put mine up in 3 days, which was impressive to me. One fork lift and 5 men. It would have taken me a couple of months an all the help I could have rounded up.

They’re a good way to get quick parking/storage quickly. I have had several over the years and have had no issues. As far as tornadoes go, it doesn’t much matter what building you have. If it’s hit direct it’s likely gone . They are also easy to do as much reinforcing as you want.

We put up a 30x40x10building a couple years ago. We laid the concrete and the company drove out and put it up in 2 days. It is rated for heavy wind as we get 40-50 mph here occasionally. It was about $18k. It works for car parking on the right and I built an hvac equiped room for a couch, TV, workout equipment, fridge.

Looks good , what i keep thinking now is tearing down my old 24x24 and replacing with a building large enough to hold everything.
