I'd personally value a manual trans way more than 5%.

The car I am looking at has the restoration started on it. Lot of new parts like floor pans-trunk pan. Half sheeted rear quarter on the car. Frame rails. This is a full-blown project. Don't know if motor is free or frozen. Asking price right now is 12.500. Would like a better car to work on but you know there just not around. If so crazy money for not much of a car left. I would have to go and get the car out of state. Try to find a place here on my property. Would have to erect another building or some kind of shelter to put my runner in so, would have my shop open to a new project. A lot to think about. $$$$$$$. Having input from the group is a help in the decision. Have seen a running driving charge 1973 for around 6 thou. So, who know which way to go.

But if you multiply the larger engine size first then the relative % increases (which is what I think you're supposed to do).
Yes for even a 318 it seems a bit low but I don't think a manual transmission would be very common on a 318?
(I'm no expert)

A manual trans on a 318 would have been a three speed on the column for a 1970 B body.

...but you get the clutch pedal and linkage...

One meelion dollars! I guess it depends on when you get it finished and up for sale. If you are doing it for profit, you will need to get it done in a few months and watch what you spend, then aggressively market it. If you take several years then it is hard to say what the market is going to do when all of us get too old to drive them any more. Clean it up and get it on the road and enjoy it for what it is. Don't spend too much on it and hope to recover all that you put into it. Approach it as a "not for profit" operation. and just enjoy "fixin' it up".

Figure a good shop is $150 to $175 per hour. Usually the charges are time and materials.

Id pass on a car started on, just inheriting someone else’s problem.

Has anyone seen a ‘70 Charger with the 383/3 speed? It would have been a floor shift, and obviously not a Hurst Pistol Grip. I’ve never seen one. I guess it would be the same as the standard road runner package for 1970. The 4 speed became an option.

All I can say on this matter, I sure am glad I had mine painted before covid hit.
Interesting thread to say the least.

Color is also a factor:
Blue +45%
Black +25%
Red +10%
Pale yellow 0%
Brown -15%
Green -45%

I've seen several '70 Challengers, Cudas and as you mention Road Runners and Super Bee's with 383/3 speed.

...but now that you mention it, never a Charger.

However, I have seen a few 318/3 speed Chargers across all three generations.

Here is pics of the car Charger 70 500. He removed some pics in the new listing. 391603802_1641933066633543_4486844840253794714_n.jpg391610966_1641932989966884_848047813123763715_n.jpg391621244_1641932959966887_7614723789999087366_n.jpg391611308_1641933036633546_3151700809744225843_n.jpg

What?!! Only 5% add for the 4spd manual trans! Only 3% add for power windows?

Mongo sad, 25% add for my 383-4V is ok I guess

Did we ever get the asking price?

Looks like new quarter skins and some new floor and floor related panels.

I've seen cars like this go for 10-12K.

No way I'm a buyer in that range.

Likely the high end resto-mod crowd is driving that and this is a perfect candidate for that.

5 thou now just for shell. 12.500 for everything. I think I am out on this one. Just do not have the room or space to do the car. Need another building to do any more projects. Can't find a trailer right now to go and get the car. As all of you know these cars run into thousands of dollars even if the car is in good or fair shape. The open title is an issue also with DMV here in Fl. Lot of work to get the title in your name.
