In a van, down by the river,
Just bought this old furniture store. I plan to use the back two sections for my stuff. So I'll send info as I go along. First thing was to take out two handicap sized restrooms. The far back room was fixed up pretty nice so I'll put the chickens in there.

Sweet. Whatcha gonna do with the other part of the building?

I'm currently doing a little "outside of the box" garage expansion myself.

Wow, that is truly awesome, real nice chicken coop for sure and that one rooster looks ready to spur some unsuspecting anything getting in the way!! REAL nice.

WOWWWWW....awesome place! sure is nice to have a place to put your cars and what not!! congrats...AND YES ...I'M JELLY-OUS!

Sweet. Whatcha gonna do with the other part of the building?

I'm currently doing a little "outside of the box" garage expansion myself.

The room with the cars in is 70 X 35, I'm going to leave it as is. The bay with the construction going on is 25 X 60, thats where I'll work on stuff. The rest of the front is 60 X 100 and it will be broke up into two 50 X 60 shops. A couple of others want to do there thing in those.

Rent paying stuff?

I'm in the middle of buying a 24x200 (4800sf) and a 20x180 (3600 sf) mini-warehouse complex. Closing is 24th.

Not quite the space you have, but I can use basically any units that I want, and the others will either pay or help pay the bill, or maybe even make money!
It's currently at 70%, and I have two prospective new tennants waiting until it's mine.

I'm stealing it, as there are three other similar parcels in a 3 mile radius that are listed for almost double, a little more than double, and almost tripple the price. Two of them are owned by realtors that have had them for less than 6 months.

I do owe you one!

Is it for sale?

Do you have a county tax assesors website that lists assesed value and has a legal description and history of property taxes levied?

That's the first place I'd start.

PM if you want.

Sweet!! I want to find some land with a metallic building on it that's around 5000 sq ft and call it my barn. Get an ag exemption on the land and grow hay or something simple. Then build living quarters inside the barn and call it an office but keep my travel trailer outside and call it my home. Can we say tax evasion? :D

Hey Donny I think you were real close to the mark with your estimate of what your building is worth.
Too bad the seller is high on crack.
Who is gonna buy that and give him a 40% profit but only expect to make a 10% income profit for themselves????

If it were me (and I had more business balls), I'd offer the same or slightly less than what the current owner paid. The problem is that would for sure be an insult and would sour the current relationship.

You could try tactfully mentioning that you were interested but that there's no way you can afford the price, have the printout of what he paid in your hand and ask what he'd absolutely have to have.

Man......Nice pad. Makes my little end stall shop in the garage seem like closet space. Congrat's.

Moved out of my other building and into one side of the Chicken Coupe. The other side is coming along also.
