Progressive ignition

I’ve had one for a few years now with no issues. Easy to set up and adjust, I like the ability to disable the ignition with the app.

I will only use this now. It eliminated knocking and fires up first time all the time. Timing adjust is easy if you want to make any changes. As mentioned above, the engine cutoff security is nice. I have not used the version with the additional track function.

This is also my go to for everything. The fine tuning of the timing stopped my Jeep 350 from overheating, digital tach and speedometer, and the security lock, nitrous retard, 2 step all for the same price as a MSD.

I use it in my Plymouth big block to 7000 rpms, no issues at all.
Their service is great as well.

What's missing? What distributor is being talked about?

Seems very like the MSD E-curve I have. That one has manually selected dials inside for curves and limiter. Problem is, it’s taller than stock and it interferes with wiper motor trying to get cap off.

So on the Progressive on a small block, make sure removing the cap doesn’t interfere with anything.

ya I got a measurement from them, I'm concerned about the air cleaner, waiting to get the engine together complete to air cleaner.

No subscription fees. They also offer a different type of cap. The important thing is the coil and wires have to be compatible.

Theodore from Progression emailed me the dimensions of 4 1/8" diameter not including the cap lugs and 8 1/8" to the top of the female cap, so you would have to figure your cap on your plug wire, that couldn't be much more that a 1/2" for that. Just in case anyone was wondering, hoping I can clear everything, would be a blessing on tunning a six pack on a modified engine IMO.

I’m running the progression on a six pack and everything clears.

I’ve had mine for about three years with no issues at all. Being able to make timing adjustments on the fly in the app is very nice. The rev limiter and ignition cut off features are also nice to have.
I put an RB dist with a spacer in my 383 (possibly dropping in a 440 down the road). With that I had to clearance the lip of my mopar performance valve cover a bit but that was it.
Great distributor.

I've been running one since 2021 in my 496 stroker. Before he made the top (cap) smaller. Had to clearance (dent) my passenger aluminum rocker cover. From what I hear, that's not necessary any longer. Engine idles much better going from Park to drive. Overall, very happy with it.

Hey did you end up getting this and did it work well on your 6 pack?
