I have to pull my 727 for front seal replacement in my 73 Satellite. It only has 200 miles on it.
This is a dumb question but what is the best way? I have heard pull engine and trans together? I don't have a lift but I can get the car high enough on jackstands.
Don't you have to remove torsion bars to get crossmember out?
Again sorry for dumb questions I have experience but not with mopar so much.
Have no idea why seal failed I did not install it but was done by a reputable shop, I doubt if they will stand behind it since I have made a few passes at the drag strip.
Thanks Doug

Way easier to pull trans, But before you do remember the trans vent is in the same area, double check fluid levels. If it is the seal, what about the bushing, Also cracked converter hub. Many posibilitys that can not be addressed bu pulling engine. Just me 2 cents.

Just pull the trans.Depending on the freshen up,,,,,,you might do that too.

Actually I was thinking about a looser converter since I plan on running it more as a street/strip car too so I guess this is my opportunity

In case you don't know...

Be SURE to unbolt the converter, from the flexplate, before you unbolt the trans from the engine block. When you pull the trans, converter needs to get pulled with it. The flexplate can bend, if trans is pulled, leaving the converter hanging.
Goes back together the same way.
