Helping a friend clean out her husbands storage units ( he passed away two years ago and was a Mopar guy ) and came across this cam, some small block heads and other various parts.

Here are the specs on the cam I found.

Eng Cam kit # Lift Duration overlap lift rec install valve lash intake
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Eng. P4286630 D.C. 280-110 60 .474" 106 Zero

Does A engine depict a 318 motor? And what would be a very fair price to sell the cam for, she has absolutely no use for any of the parts and I will be posting them on Craigslist for her locally and possibly on here ( shipping from Socal may be bad as all items are heavy) depending on the response I get.

Thanks for your help,

Mark

A engine is 273 318 non poly 340 and 360. Poly actually uses the same cam configuration but it is always a solid grind.

The poly doesn't use the same configuration, the valves are I E I E I the LA is a EI IE EI IE
You can interchange cams but the engine will not run.

The cam has been replaced/upgraded with the new part number 4552996 IIRC, I could be wrong.

Regardless, if it is new and in brand new shape, the cam sell new for approx. $200. With lifters. A quick sale price is $150.

Thank you for the info, I could not find the part # as a current for sale item to get the value. I will post it at $100 as there are no lifters with the cam.

That .474 is a nice cam as I had one in a very stock 340 and it had a nice idle with a little lump to it that sounded good and ran strong as it ran 13.40's @ 105 through the pipes on street tires. Ron
