Ik this question has been beaten to death but i have had zero luck. Im about to pull the trigger on the purchase of this tranny and the guy seems genuine but like with all things purchased online i like to be sure instead of taking their word. Ive managed to find out that it's a 63-64 big block tranny (which is exactly what i need for my 62 belvedere) but i need to know for sure if it's a pushbutton auto not a column shifter etc. Anyone smarter than me able to help?
Quoting Geetex here, the following link is where i got it.. this is the most relevant info ive found so far:
"1963 - 1964 B body 426 2-4bbls Max. Perf. the part number on the trans should be 2464426. I don't know if it would be proceeded by PK or not so could be PK2464426. I can't help with the date code, the next 4 digits, for a '62 built trans., and the sequence number, the last 4 digits, could be anything. This isn't a whole lot of help but at least it gives you a part number."
