question on 71-74 charger hidaway headlamp grills

is there a difference in the years as far as styling ??

see pics below, 1 has 3 vertical supports and 1 has 7 vertical supports, am i missing something, or are the different years?

the ones on the car are original to the 71 charger, ( its a 1 owner ) the other were picked up years ago...

71 are different. You have a 72 grill installed on the left side.
It looks like you need one left-side grill. Start a WTB thread; someone here may have one.
The 71 grills are becoming hard to find.

That's weird,car was bought new, never been in a wreck. He swears this is how it was new, so the spare set are 71s?

Every one posted is a 71 except this one circled which is a 72. Either that is a extremely late build car built at 7am on a Monday or it was damaged and changed sometime in the last 50 years.

Those are the only 2 years for hideaways on that body.
