Question on big block bellhousings

I'm gathering parts for a 4 speed conversion for my 64 Sport Fury. Are bellhousings interchangeable? I've searched the forum and haven't found the answer. Which years/casting number would work for my application. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I ordered a new one from Brewers. Less expensive and you'll get the correct one. Get the correct throw out bearing fork also.

This is good advice.. Save yourself a lot of trouble and get ALL the correct parts for your installation. There absolutly is a difference. For instance the pivot inside the bell house must be the correct one for the correct bearing fork. And that goes for all linkage as well. Been there- done that.................................MO

Go hydraulic throw out bearing and be done with the linkage and associated parts. Just my 2$!
