Question on Felpro axle gaskets.

Putting the 8 3/4 back together on the 66 belvedere and the new metal gaskets from Felpro have a raised side and a flat side ,How do these go on,I am talking about the gasket that goes in between the housing flange and the brake backing plate.

Flat side goes against the axle housing flange.
I usually spray a light film of coppercoat on that metal gasket.
