question on my fender tag

I've had this satellite since 1986. Untouched, hasn't run since 1988. Rusted and needs alot of work. I think the timing chain jumped, not sure. Any suggestions what I should consider to do with it??? Don't think I want to sell yet.

Was this a St. Louis thing on fender tags?

yes. That’s a typical inspection punch you’ll find on StL tags. Not all tags have one and the differences between years vary.

My ‘73 Road Runner has a “4” punched in it’s fender tag.
