Questions about outside mirrors

Hi gang. On 71-74 cars.

Is there a single screw that holds the mirror brackets on the inside of the door? If so, what kind of screw and what does it screw into?

Then the two outside goes through the mirror, through the door, into the mirror plates, correct?

There is a little plastic pin that holds the plate in place. Your mounting procedure is correct. Just have to hold the plate in place while you get the screws in.
