Radiator fan shroud question

I have 1969 RR with a 383 no power steering or air. There is no fan shroud on the radiator. The car appears to be all original. Was this an option or has someone taken it off? Thanks

optional, but look at your radiator side supports, and see if you have anywhere to attach one. That will tell you what you had.
