Radiator Hose

Why on a 1973 440 is there a different part number for the upper radiator hose depending on which alternator is on the car but when you look at the picture they look the same?

Probably stock picture on their web site, but I think it has something to do with the size of the alternator? I don't know for sure, but I do know there were two different style alternator available for big block.
