Hello

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get exact fit radiator hoses for 1974 roadrunners? I have been to Classic, Summit etc. nobody seems to have them for 73-74 big block? looking for good pre-molded as close to OE as possible.

Thanks

I don't have a 74 big block, but when I needed radiator hoses for my 70 Road Runner, I think I just went to Rock Auto. They fit great. I just did a quick check and it looks like they have some for your combination. They have pictures, so check 'em out and see if they look to be correct...

I am sure there are other sources too...

If I recall correctly, I just went to Advanced Auto. My car is a 74 Charger SE with the 400 and power steering. Both molded rubber hoses were under $20 in total. The only issue I had was that the top one was about 1" too long and it caused it to hit my D.U.I. distributor. Cut 1" off by top radiator connection and all is well. Probably would not have been an issue with a factory distributor, but it was on my car when I bought it. If you have the same setup, the two hoses I bought that look OEM are Dayco 70539 (top) and Dayco 70726 (bottom).

I talked to Bob at Glen-Ray and he suggested Megaparts.com

Try Rock Auto. Theres a code on Dodgecharger.com for 5%. All you will find is cut to fit. You will have to buy stamps and make your own repro hoses. Nobody considers it worthwhile to make accurate hoses for these cars yet.

Great

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I see jims seems to have oe fit (Thanks 1970GTX). I'll check the others as well.

Your so right 1ol74charger4me. I hope in the near future they see that the 73-74 cars are just as important as the 60's to 72 cars.

I got Gates hoses at Oreilly auto for my 73 small block.

I bought a lower one for my 74 satellite with a 440 at o'reilly's and i will never do that again as i had to chop it up to get it to kind of fit but still has a bit of an indention in it

Like I said, I always buy Gates hoses, and yes, they sell them extra long, so you can cut to fit perfectly, never had a problem with them and yes, purchased from Oreillys. Better to have too much than not enough!

Napa auto parts! If they don't have something I need, they're willing to special order anything from anywhere in the U.S.!

The hoses are designed that way to accommodate the different thickness of radiators, some are two row, some are three rows that require one to two inches being cut off.

Stay away from Jim's :eek::eek::eek:

Major ripoff company that's ran poorly.

Just my 2¢

I got mine from Advance Auto Parts for $20 or so. I had to special order one, but they fit great.

Imo the op was asking for OEM and that means you shouldn'thave to cut it. I believe my rad is 1 row so it should have fit
